I recently went looking around the blog-sphere to see if I could find any Jimmie Osborne albums, and alas, no luck. I therefore decided to remedy the situation by presenting this LP on King's Audio Lab label. This dinner plate of a disc was issued in 1959, and features twelve tunes composed and performed by the late Kentucky singer. This is great postwar southeastern country music, Osborne's style is reminiscent of of Acuff, the Bailes Brothers, Hank Williams, etc. Unfortunately, Jimmie commited suicide in 1957 and is not as well remembered he should be.

Thank You, you have some very good albums.
Thanks Lefty, I have been doing a bit of research about Jimmie Osborne for my blog as it is the anniverary of his birth today (8 April,1923)
Jimmie Osborne was Born in my home town. Winchester, Ky. I can remember the days of Kathy Fiscus. The date April 8th 49. I did not know know until i read this page that his Birthdate was april 8. He sold 1 mil copies of the death of Kathy Fiscus. I recently wrote a article on him on my Facebook page and i found this page. The reason i thought of him was i seen somewhere where they were diging around a well casing and they had Ropes tied on a young lady with her on her head. They let her down in that casing and the second time the brought her up she had a small child in her hands. I thought of the date and and it was somewhere around Apr. 15 so i found the song of Jimmie and i posted it and wrote an article about him. I was 12 years old when Kathy fiscus died. I remember it all so well. Our entire country was praying they would get her out alive but it never happened. My thanks to the Publisher of this page. Love it.
