This collection may forever be the ultimate western swing anthology. "Okeh Western Swing" first appeared in 1982 as a 2 LP set on the Epic label. It was an early hit of the re-issue genre and demonstrated that there was a market selling back-catalog material to listeners who were not alive for the initial releases. All of the material would have first seen release on 78. The first couple of tracks by Bernard and Miller are pop records that influenced the origins western swing. The rest are by great dance and recording bands from the southwest U.S.A. in the middle of the 20th century. Bob Wills of course, but many others as well, both legendary and obscure. This collection that introduced so many to western swing is increasingly hard to find, so it is hoped that this post can help introduce many more.

Truly a classic - this is the record that got me hooked on Western Swing. I've never had my own copy. Thanks for making it available!
These are classical songs and they cannot be replicated nor recreated. This was true music. Thank you so much for putting it all together at one place.
Maybe is there a chance to reupload this in 2020? Thanks in advance
